This North West consultation event gave local authority
officers the opportunity to discuss the Government’s proposals for
a new survey to be undertaken by local authorities.

This consultation event was aimed specifically at
Policy and Performance Officers, Research Managers or Consultation
and Engagement Officers. The event had some excellent speakers from
the CLG, the Audit Commission and from local authorities
in the North West of England.
The event consisted of a series of presentations and group
exercises for the delegates – the presentations can be downloaded

Quotes from attendees:
"Thank you for a very good event yesterday. It was
really informative and helpful to be able to give our views to the
Audit Commission and CLG."
Ruth Jackson. Development Officer Strategy &
Service Development Division Environmental Services Bolton
Council
"Thank you very much for an extremely useful
conference. It was good to give local council views to the CLG and
Audit Commission representatives. It was also useful to hear from
neighbouring authorities."
Jean Stelfox. Research Officer Research and
Intelligence Unit Customer and Local Relations Cheshire County
Council
"Many thanks for laying on the conference. Myself and
my colleague Andrew Kershaw found the day very interesting and it
provided us with some real food for thought. I accessed the online
notes from the conference a couple of day ago and they are very
useful. I will bear Mott MacDonald's experience of conducting
community and stakeholder consultations in mind should the need
arise in the future."
Peter Regan, Policy and Performance Officer, Policy and
Performance Team, Trafford Council
